We went to the venue at around 5pm, thinking we're still early. But when we reach the venue there are already a lot of people. Outside the concert hall, people are busy either taking photos, buying Jang Geun Suk merchandise and some busy chatting.
The show was supposed to start at 7:30 but they only let the people enter the concert hall at around 8pm already. I was wondering why there's a delay. After the show I know why, maybe because he is not feeling well and they let him rest for a few more minutes. But his sickness did not affect his performance. He still manage to finish a wonderful concert.
I bring my camera to take some photos and videos but I wasn't able to use it cause the security is very strict. The securities roam around the concert hall to check if someone is taking some photos or videos. We are seated in the middle of the hall and securities will definitely see me so instead of having my camera being confiscated, I just enjoy the show.
The show started with Jang Geun Suk singing "Let Me Cry". He was so gorgeous and handsome. You will be definitely captivated by him. After that he greet the audience in English, his voice sounds sick but he still smiles and look so handsome. He said he's happy to be back in Singapore (sorry I forgot the other words that he said cause I was so captivated by him that I just look at him). Then he started to sing "My Bus".
The concert has two parts : The Sweet Jang Geun Suk and the Lounge H Party
The Sweet Jang Geun Suk
- Jang Geun Suk as Himself
For this part the host ask him about his trip to Europe which is about his photo book. Though he can speak English there's still an interpreter on his side. I find him so funny and cute when the host ask him and then he answer in Korean. The audience reacted cause we didn't understand it. Then he said, "Shall I speak in English?" Then the audience shouted and answer its ok for him to speak in Korean.
They show different photos of him from his European tour. I think those photos will be included in his photo book. Every photo that they show, audience would react. He is so handsome in all his photos. Since, there's no photos that I can share, I'll just tell how he answer about the photos that they show. There are a lot of photo shown but I will share those that I can still remember.
1.) His holding a book or diary - he said its like reminiscing the love.
2.) In the street talking in his phone - a break up with your love. Then the host ask him why would someone dump him. His so clever when he said, "I don't know they just ask me to do it"
3.) Fruit market and he is holding an orange and lemon. He said that they took that photo because the colour was very nice. I couldn't remember what the host tell him after that. What I remember is he ask him what he like among the fruit that he is holding, orange or lemon. I so love his answer "I like LIME". If you're a GeunShin or SukHye, I think you would love his answer too :)
4.) In the park, lying with newspaper in a bench. He's so cute with his curly hair.
5.) He's sitting and trying to wear a sock. He said it was very cold in London so he said that if ever you would go there, make sure you have something to warm you. Then the host said he like his pants (actually it looks so cute, like those pants for little kids) and would love to have it. He said he'll give it to him but he should buy his photo book.
6.) He lay on his bed so tired after the photo shoot wherein there are a lot of body exposure.
7.) While on the street they took this photo. The host ask him what's with that sign. He said he's not sure also. But it seems I've seen him doing this, though I'm not sure where and when.
The host ask him what's with "CRI". He said it means Critical.
- Jang Geun Suk as Kang Mu-Gyul
They show some scene from the drama, audience react whenever they show him. Then he comes to the stage and started to sing "My Precious" but he suddenly stop because the one they played is not a minus one. He said, he wants to sing live for the audience, so they change it and he sing live.
Then the host went to the stage again with the interpreter. They talk about Marry Me, Mary! (I won't be biased, I'm a GeunShin but I'll post what I heard during this interview). The host ask him about the drama.
He ask him in You're Beautiful there are lines that viewers would always remember (he sited one line, I think its when HTK allowed GMN to be her fan), in MMM, what would they remember. He tries to think of what to say, if I'm not mistaken I think he said "You must like me". Sorry I haven't watch the drama so I'm not sure. But he said this is the line he always say in the drama.
Then he was ask what are the moments he would remember while filming the drama. He said, he was always drunk after the shooting cause they always drink alcohol. I think what the host was trying to know more about is the interaction between him and his co actress (I'm not sure, but I think they never mentioned her name, they only said co actress). He said they are friends, because they are of same age and both started young in the entertainment industry. He even said that before he go to Singapore she call her and ask her to go out for a drink when he returned to Korea. I don't put malice to what he said. Why? Because I remember in one of his interview, he said that if ever he will have a relationship. He will keep it as a secret because he doesn't want his partner to be affected. So, if there's something between them why would he tell this right?
After that he sing "Hello Hello". At first it was mellow, but he said he want the audience to be happy. So, he ask the audience to stand up and sing the song in an upbeat tempo.
(On a side note, he is wearing a STAR ring on his left finger)
- Jang Geun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung
Scenes from You're Beautiful where shown. Again audience scream for every scene and even sing along with the tune. You may say I'm biased but those who watch the concert can attest that scream is louder during the YAB scene as compared to MMM. Scenes well scream... HTK in the shower, HTK allowing GMN to be her fan, GMN giving HTK 100% then HTK hug dwaeji tokki, GMN jumps from the cargo truck falling to HTK, and the last scene from the concert. Also, towards the end of the video Lovely Day is being played and when the video stops you'll still hear the audience singing it.
The host call him as Hwang Tae Kyung (audience scream so loud). Sad to say there's no interview about YAB but for the special gift to the audience the questions where all about YAB. (Maybe because audience know more YAB).
First question ask, what was the title of the song that he sung for the one-on-one fan meeting. The lucky girl answers it correctly... Fly Me to the Moon... then he said he wants to sing the song. (Note: he voluntary sing the song, the host never ask him to).
The second question ask, how old is HTK in the drama? The girl who was pick answers 21 but its not correct. They never said the correct answer but my guess is 23.
The third question, what is HTK's dad job? Lucky girl got the correct answer, composer.
The fourth and last question, what special skills did HTK during a guesting when ANJell are still starting. First lady answers composing (wrong), then he gave a clue holding the microphone near his mouth. Then they call for another lady, she answers eating radish then change to piling radish (wrong again). He gave a clue again, this time showing like his shaving. Then he pick for another girl, he was so happy when he calls the name... I'm not sure of the girl's name but she's a Korean (actually what I heard is Park though I'm not sure). She got the correct answer, I think she answers it in Korean.
The winning ladies were ask to go on stage. They were given gifts and a special hug. Though I noticed that the hug for the Korean girl is tighter. Is it because she's a Korean or because her name starts with Park? (Just guessing)
After that he went backstage... I was a bit sad cause I thought he won't be singing any ANJell song. Then they played "Still/As Ever". The audience scream again so loud. I loved it cause I so love this song.
The Lounge H Party
This time he was with Big Brother. The party mood started. Big Brother speaks in English and his accent was quite impressive. He said that Lounge H as part of JGS asia tour starts in Singapore. Jang Geun Suk wears white while BB is in black. Jang Geun Suk is so handsome. He was so active and doing the usual thing they do for the Lounge H Party. They both dance, JGS went backstage to ask his managers to dance also.
During the performance of JGS and BB, I saw a woman on the second level taking some photos. At first I thought she was an audience and the security will ask her to stop taking photos. But they didn't stop her, she's even using a professional camera. She has an ID and I think was given a special treatment. The staff assist her. I keep on looking at her, she looks familiar. Now I think I know who she looks like. If I'm not mistaken, she's Mama Jang.
Personal Note: This concert was great. It was my first time watching a concert like this. Jang Geun Suk is a professional artist. To the last minute he finish the show though he is not feeling well. And even manage to give the audience a great show. High respect I give to him. I hope there will also be a show like this with the whole ANJell (Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Lee Hong Ki and Jung Yong Hwa). Again, I just want to say I am a Park Shin Hye and Jan Geun Suk believer. This is how I see the concert, if you see the other way I'll respect. The same way please respect my opinion. Thank you.
